Hurricane Irma Update

Dear HHA Friends and Family,

Over the last two days, we have been increasingly reminded of His truth from Hebrews 4:16- “Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.” We are singing praises to God for his faithfulness, for […]

A Special Note From Debbie

Dear HHA Friends and Family,

I have now been home for a week, following my over 3 month stay in Haiti and I am still processing the many facets to my extended stay. To say that I have been flooded with emotion would be an understatement. During those three months I have laughed deeply- overjoyed by […]

I had no idea

I had no idea…

How much I would embrace and appreciate living at our Kay Anj Village.
I’ve been coming to Haiti monthly for years but have never LIVED with our Kay Anj family. Since arriving in December I have watched and been a part of family decisions, discipline, parties and sadness. The love here is deep. […]

My trip to Kay Anj

Wednesday, January 4, 2017

Anna was already off to Italy and Greece. Continue reading “My trip to Kay Anj” »

Heaven in Haiti by Ethel

Since I have been home from my recent trip to Haiti in early April I have had the opportunity to reflect on my journey. There are so many things to share, but I have tried to choose the most touching moments for me. Haiti is a poor country, we all know that, but once you […]

Jeanne’s Journal Entry

I have just returned from my 6th, maybe 7th, trip to Cap Haitian, Haiti.  Each and every time, I see changes for the good, but to be honest- most of the things that I am seeing now were probably always there.  The first time, I was so overwhelmed by the poverty it was just too […]

Matthew 18:5

Matthew 18:5- And whoever welcomes one such child in my name welcomes me.

We were blessed with six precious children on Saturday. I’ve (Debbie) been in Haiti for over 10 years now and days like this still break me and bring me to my knees. Imagine not even knowing your name at 3 years old.

A woman […]

I Am Unashamed

Recently, a school group withdrew participation from their scheduled HHA mission trip to Kay Anj Village. Apparently, the school’s board voted to cancel the trip because it deemed that HHA proselytizes. I was shocked, offended and disappointed! Until, I researched the term and found that “To proselytize means to convert or attempt to convert someone […]
