HALO is a dynamic group of teens who are committed to providing higher education and vocational training to the children of our Kay Anj D’ayiti Orphanage in Cap Haitien, Haiti. We strive to help save children’s lives in Haiti and give them a future.

GOAL: Raise awareness & provide contributions to the HHA education fund benefiting the teenagers in the Kay Anj orphanage.

One day we would like to see all of our children have the opportunity for a better education, and we will.

1 Thessalonians 5:17  pray continually;

Two years ago the Lord put together a team of women, joined in heart and spirit and who have a passion for Prayer. We know the Power in Prayer and desire to pray without ceasing for any and all needs that HHA/KAV and the country of Haiti have. Our desire is that this Kingdom work would bring glory to HIM, that all who take part in this mission would experience His love and grace and that ALL we do would be showered in prayer so that His wisdom and hand guides us always. To share this desire we put together a travel prayer journal that spans over a 10 day period to prepare the travelers heart, then each day they are there and the 2 days after they arrive home. We also designate the last Wednesday of every month as our HHA/KAV prayer and fast day. Two years ago we began this with 12-15 and it has grown to over 60 people who commit that day to lay aside the things of the world and praise and Pray specifically for HHA/KAV. We also have a prayer chain that is always available for the urgent needs that come up. Our desire is to support the team with prayer and encouragement to continue the work the Lord has laid before us.

If you need prayer, desire to be apart of the core prayer team or to join us in the monthly prayer and fast day please email Cathy Shaffer at

Colossians 4:2 Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.

Community Partners

WeSince 2006, the Haiti Hospital Appeal has been working to establish a quality form of health care that is not restricted to the few but a right for all. Moved by the depth of suffering and hopelessness that Haitians experience every day, we seek to bring transformation to cities and communities where even the most basic health care has been unavailable. We are a Christian charity with a heart of compassion and a desire for justice.
