As a sponsor, what is expected of me?
As a sponsor, we ask that you build a relationship by praying for; writing to; and financially supporting your angel.
As a sponsor, what do I receive from my angel?
You will receive letters, pictures and sometimes bracelets, etc. that your special angel has made just for you. You will also receive a special prayer each day from your angel asking God to Bless you.
Can I choose my child?
Yes. We encourage you to choose a child that speaks to your heart that you want to pray for and build a relationship with.
Do I HAVE to choose a child?
No. We understand that some people can’t choose. Many who have visited have more than one that they have already built a relationship with. In this case, you may donate to the general fund.
Can I sponsor more than one angel?
Yes. You may sponsor as many angels as you would like to sponsor.
Can I send a note or gift to my angel?
Yes, you will be notified when someone from HHA will be visiting Kay Anj so that you can send a personal note and pictures to your angel. We ask that you limit the gifts to Christmas and Birthdays and that you spend no more than $15.00 on a gift.
What does my sponsorship cover?
Your sponsorship covers church programs, schools, tutors, food, clean water, healthcare, shelter, Haitian childcare and security.
Can I visit my angel?
Yes. HHA offers several trips throughout the year. Contact info@hhangels.org to inquire about upcoming trips.
How often should I write to my angel?
As a sponsor, you will receive a “Sponsor email” letting you know when we will be visiting the orphanage to deliver your letters. You will be receiving these emails 4-6 times per year.
What happens if I can't continue to support my angel?
We understand that there may be a time that you have to discontinue your support for your angel. If so, please send an email to info@hhangels.org and let us know.
Can I change my credit card or method of payment?
Yes. If you need to change your credit card, update your expiration or change your account in any way, please contact info@hhangels.org and let us know.
What if my CC doesn't go through?
If there is a payment issue with your credit card, you will receive an email from e-transfer corporation (EFT) as well as a courtesy email from HHA making you aware of the situation.
How much of my sponsorship goes directly to the child?
Your sponsorship is 100% tax deductible with all sponsorship money going to the care of your sponsored child. HHA is run by all volunteers in the United States. The only paid staff are our wonderful Haitian Mamas and Security.
