Jessica initially joined our HHA team as an executive assistant in 2015 but her role quickly evolved and she now serves as our director of development and communications. Born into a Haitian family and raised in New York City, Jessica always dreamed of serving in Haiti one day! From family vacations as a kid, a mission trip as a college student and now for work, Jessica’s connection to Haiti brings an invaluable and unique perspective to HHA’s operations and decision making.

When in Haiti at KAV, Jessica enjoys training our house parents, developing relationships with our other staff and spending time with the kids- especially her sponsored child, James. Here in the US, she loves engaging and praying with our donors and keeping them abreast of KAV happenings. She is most passionate about our new Student Sponsorship Program and vows to get every single student sponsored.

While majoring in psychology and sociology at Howard University, Jessica received the opportunity to also obtain a certificate in nonprofit management. She went on to earn a MA from Wesley Theological Seminary. Jessica often says, “Serving at HHA is one of God’s biggest gifts to me. It allows me to be ALL of who I am; Christian, Haitian, wife, mom, and nonprofit professional.”
